Kaylyn Kirkpatrick
Brewing Specialist

Kaylyn Kirkpatrick got her start in the brewing industry after earning a B.S. in Biochemistry from Colorado State University. Shortly after, she joined the quality assurance department at New Belgium Brewing Co. where she investigated raw materials and profiled fermentation chemistry. Kaylyn has since continued to follow her passion for brewing science, obtaining a Diploma in Brewing from the Institute of Brewing & Distilling and a Masters in Food Science from Oregon State University’s Brewing Science Laboratory. Kirkpatrick currently works as a Brewing Specialist at Cornell University, providing education, outreach, and applied research to the craft beer industry. Kaylyn is experienced in sensory evaluation of beer, having performed sensory testing for industry and academic research and development, quality assurance, and new product innovation.
